Our Story

Our journey began with our founder, Harley Ashbaugh, who moved to Savannah, Georgia in 1997 to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design. Harley's passion for woodworking and furniture design led him to intern at Intermarine Savannah, where he worked on custom woodworking projects for luxury super yachts. This experience laid the foundation for his skills in fine craftsmanship.

After graduating with a BFA in Interior Design and minors in Furniture Design and Architectural History, Harley began his career in the industry by working for a private cabinet company. However, he soon realized that his high standards for design and craftsmanship weren't being met. This led him to take a leap of faith and start his own company, AWD of Savannah, in 2009.

Our Vision

Our vision is to interpret our clients' unique spaces and create bespoke cabinetry, furniture, and millwork that reflects their style and functionality. We draw inspiration from interviews with our clients, studying their current homes and environments, and incorporating inspirational imagery. We believe that every piece of furniture and cabinetry should be a reflection of the individual's personality and style.
