Our Story

Our journey began nearly two decades ago when our founder, Kim Sankey, had a dream to open her own home furnishings store. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles and attending the Maison & Objet design show in Paris, Kim's passion for design and retail took shape. In 2004, Gatehouse Studio was born, and we have been a beloved part of the Newport Beach/Costa Mesa community ever since.
