A Brief History

Our story began when Charlie Anderson founded Asheboro Key & Lock Shop in 1931. Over the years, the company grew and expanded its services to include alarm installations. In 1980, Bill Wright purchased the company and merged the two services under the name Asheboro Key, Lock & Alarms, Inc. By 2005, the company had evolved further and started doing business as Asheboro Fire & Security. Today, our President/Owner, Darwin Smith, who has been with the company since 1985, leads our team of professionals with over 95 years of combined experience in the industry.
