Our Story

Founded in 1986, Paul J. Mitchell has evolved from a small conventional logging venture to a fully mechanized in-woods clean chipping operation, producing an estimated 2300 tons of high-quality chip per week. Our journey has been marked by numerous certifications, including SFI certified, FSC Certified, and Certified Master Loggers (C017399). In 2011, we were awarded the prestigious "National Outstanding Logger" award from the Forest Resources Association.

We produce an estimated 60 loads of in-woods clean paper quality chip per week, employing 24 full-time crew members and staff. Our chipping operation is designed to provide high-quality chip for various industries, including wood pellet production.
