Glidden Fence

Glidden Fence Company Inc. was established in 1976 by Tom Glidden, who still manages the company today. With over 50 years of experience in the fencing industry, Tom started his journey in 1965 as a fence installer for Hoosier Fence Company's Highway Division. He quickly became the best fence installer and later worked for Cyclone Fence, a subsidiary of U.S. Steel Corporation, where he honed his installation and leadership skills. In 1976, Tom moved his family to Carmel, Indiana, and opened Glidden Fence Company. Starting with a few fences in Carmel and Westfield, the business picked up as people recognized the quality of Tom's fence construction. He hired his first employee, Bill Dapper, in 1977, and soon they were building fences in various areas of Hamilton County.
