Our Story
Rugs As Art, Inc. was established in 1986 in the Gulf Gate shopping district of Sarasota, Florida by John and Lucy Murse. Our founders' objective was to provide high-quality area rugs to the Sarasota market with superior selection, outstanding service, and attractive pricing. Over the years, we have continued to grow and evolve, relocating to a larger facility in 2001 and expanding our online presence. Today, we are proud to serve the west coast of Florida, including Sarasota, Bradenton, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Port Charlotte, Naples, and Fort Myers.
