Our story began in Unionville, where George Hutchins made the first of many purchases at S&F Sanford Company. This marked the beginning of a tradition of doing business with the "Red Store on the Corner, " a tradition that continues to this day. Although the Hawley's left the company in the 1920s, the Sanford's remained, overcoming numerous challenges along the way. Today, Frank, Bob, Ted, and Bobby Sanford continue to operate the company, upholding the legacy of quality and service that has been our hallmark for over 130 years.
