Our journey began when our founder, Mark King, decided to follow his passion for energy efficiency and construction. Coming from a family of skilled carpenters and tradesmen, Mark had a solid background in construction and a deep understanding of the importance of energy-efficient homes. His first home, a berm home, was extremely energy efficient and sparked his interest in this field. Mark pursued this interest by completing Building Science and Energy Efficiency training at the Kansas Building Science Institute, which provided him with the knowledge and skills necessary to offer expert advice on energy-efficient solutions.
