The Hawks Landscape Co. is a family-owned and operated business with a rich history dating back to 1875. We have been serving the Milwaukee area for over 140 years, providing our customers with exceptional landscape design, construction, and maintenance services. Meet Your Hawks Design, Care, and Maintenance Representatives

At Hawks, we have a team of experienced and knowledgeable staff members who handle projects of any size or difficulty. We would like to introduce you to some of them:

Joe Kresl, PLA, Landscape Architect and Owner/President

Joe earned his Landscape Architecture degree from UW-Madison and has over 40 years of experience in all phases of landscape design and construction. He is a strong civic leader and encourages his staff to be good neighbors and supporters of the community.

Gary Urban, PLA, Chief Operating Officer/Landscape Architect

Gary has been a part of Hawks since 1992 and is a state-registered Landscape Architect with extensive experience in residential and commercial design and installation.

Lynn Carlson, Landscape Designer

Lynn has been in the green industry in the Milwaukee area since 1991 and has been with Hawks since 1994. She enjoys working with clients from start to finish and takes pride in creating beautiful landscapes.

Steve Wegner, Landscape Designer

Steve has been designing landscapes since 1995 and enjoys working with homeowners in creating or renovating outdoor living spaces.

Gary Hillwalker, Landscape Designer

Gary has been involved in the landscape industry since 1989 and has worked in virtually every aspect of the industry. He brings a wealth of horticulture experience and flair for creating beautiful landscapes.

Bill Sama, PLA, Landscape Architect

Bill is a dedicated Landscape Architect with a formal education in Geology. He has extensive experience in residential and commercial landscape design and installation.
