Our Story

At Shaver-Ramsey, we have been bringing beautiful rugs and textiles to Denver for over 40 years. Our journey began in 1976, when Paul Ramsey and Carolyn Shaver opened our small storefront in the Cherry Creek neighborhood, showcasing their love of travel, respect for local tribal art, and exquisite taste. We have since grown (our original showroom has expanded to 5000 square feet) and evolved to become one of the premier rug stores in the United States.

Our Expertise

We specialize in only the finest - from the new premier rugs being woven today, such as Woven Legends and Miri, to an extensive selection of collectible and decorative antique carpets, as well as one-of-a-kind custom rug productions. We are world renowned for our collection of tribal weavings and textiles. Our knowledgeable and experienced staff is unrivaled when it comes to finding the right rug for the right setting. We offer in-home consultations, delivery, cleaning, and restoration services. We also have staff dedicated to supporting designer, architect, and builder needs.

Our team is made up of experts in the field of rugs and textiles. Our owners, Paul Ramsey and Elizabeth Vehko, have a deep knowledge of the industry and a passion for sharing their expertise with our clients.

• Paul Ramsey: Owner and founder of Shaver-Ramsey, Paul has a lifelong passion for rugs and textiles.
• Elizabeth Vehko: Owner and partner, Elizabeth brings her love of world travel, connection to other cultures, and interior design to her role at Shaver-Ramsey.
• Alfonso Milz: Sales Manager, Alfonso has a wealth of knowledge about rugs and a passion for modern art and fossils.
• Alexandra Sheremet: Sales, Alexandra is a world traveler and a passionate photographer and actress.
• Curtis Romero: Sales and Wash & Repair Specialist, Curtis has over a decade of experience working with rugs and textiles and has a Master's degree in writing.

Location

Our showroom is located at 589 Fillmore Street, Denver, Colorado 80206. We are open Monday through Saturday from 9:30am to 6pm and on Sundays from 11am to 5pm.
