Kanneberg Custom Kitchens was founded in 1965 by Roger Kanneberg, driven by a passion for creating custom cabinetry for new construction and remodeling. From humble beginnings in a rented building, the company has grown and prospered over the years, moving to a larger facility and expanding its services. Today, Kanneberg Custom Kitchens is an established company in Rockford, serving the surrounding area and even extending its reach to the Chicago suburbs. With a rich history of designing, building, and installing cabinets in over 10,000 homes, the company has earned a reputation for excellence in the industry.

Our Story

Fred Cook joined the company in 1978 as a custom door builder, learning from Roger and soon becoming a valued and important part of the team. Fred's extensive experience in every aspect of the cabinet trade, from designing to finishing and installing, has been instrumental in the company's growth. In 1994, Fred became a partner, and since then, the company has continued to thrive under the leadership of Fred and Toby Kanneberg, Roger's son, who joined the company in 1998. Together, they have built and installed thousands of custom kitchens, vanities, mantles, surrounds, bars, and bookcases.
