Our Story

Our journey began when Andrew and Liz met in church youth group and married right out of cabinetry and cosmetology school, respectively. They settled in the Brainerd Lakes area, where they grew as a family, and developed their knowledge of the construction/restoration world. Andrew's passion for design and creativity started early, drawing floorplans with trampoline rooms and spiral staircases in his childhood. Liz, on the other hand, took inspiration from her Country Home magazine subscription, arranging antique books and knickknacks in her bedroom. When they grew older, they both pursued their passions, Andrew in carpentry and Liz in interior design.

As they built their skills and expertise, they realized that there was a lack of quality materials and timeless design in the industry. With their creative energy and determination, they decided to launch Traditional Cabinetry in December 2006. Andrew's business partner joined him, and together they crafted custom products with style and integrity that would stand the test of time.

Years of hard work, dedication, and passion for their craft have enabled us to grow our team, including talented craftspeople, and invest in clever machines that aid with accuracy and efficiency. In 2020, Liz was able to officially join the team, sharing her love of design with clients and colleagues. It brings joy to see our team of seven creative individuals work together, brainstorming, designing, and building for our clients.
