Our Story

Our journey began in 1976, when Bob Thorsen and his father, Jim, founded Thorsen Construction in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. As the economy stagnated in the 1970s, Bob knew that the company had to adapt and relocate to Alexandria in 1978. It was during this period that Bob discovered his right-hand man, Jim Davis, who would later become our Senior Vice President.

Over the years, Thorsen Construction has proudly built a reputation for its commitment to quality and integrity. We have always been driven by our passion for construction and our dedication to exceeding our clients' expectations. In 2006, we expanded our operations to South Florida, where we brought over five decades of experience in building architecturally significant homes.
