Our History

Our journey began in Darlington, South Carolina, where Dale Locklair, a Clemson University graduate in Ornamental Horticulture, started the company with a loan of $2,000 from his parents. With no assets or income, Dale worked tirelessly to build a reputation in the Pee Dee area. Brothers David and Randy Locklair soon joined the company, and together they grew the business. Dale's parents, grandparents, and siblings also joined the company, making it a true family affair. Over the years, Starwood Landscaping has successfully completed numerous projects across South Carolina and beyond, including Hilton Head, Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Columbia, Athens, Georgia, Dalton, Georgia, and Maryville, Tennessee.

Seasonal Color: We take great pride in our Seasonal Color installations and comprehensive maintenance programs. Our team of horticulturists includes two former Disney employees.
