Our Story

Our founder, Dan Bowman, got his start in the tree care business helping out his uncle in Farmington Hills, Michigan. But it was his love of racing bicycles that brought him to Durango in 2000. During his 12-year professional racing career, Dan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and started Woodchuck Tree Service, LLC, in 2010. Today, Dan is a Certified Arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture and a Qualified Supervisor Pesticide Applicator with the Colorado Department of Agriculture.

Tree Spraying

We also offer tree spraying services to treat trees and shrubs for pests. Our methods of application depend on the time of year and the surroundings, and we offer high-pressure tree spraying, systemic pesticide applications, and trunk injections. We treat a variety of pests, including Pine Needle Scale, White Pine Weevils, Aphids, Cooley Gall Aphids, Bark Beetles, and Aspen Diseases & Insects.
