GMH Asphalt Corporation is a Highway Heavy Contractor that has been in the Paving/Street Building Business for over 40 years. We specialize in Removals, Excavation, Grading and Paving. Our work consists of Municipal Street Reconstructs and Mill and Overlays to Driveways/Parking Lots and Small Patch work. The President of GMH Asphalt, Gary Harms, has been in road construction for over 45 years. Vice President, Brandon Butorac, has been with the company for 25 years and has a degree in Civil Engineering. As a growing company with 40+ employees, we have a small family atmosphere where employees are a part of the team. With a cohesive and experienced team, we are able to work on large scale projects with a high rate of production. We promote within and value our long-term employee relationships. Our Services

We offer a wide range of services including Removals, Bituminous Streets, Bituminous Driveways, Concrete Curb and Gutter, Concrete Driveways and Sidewalk, Retaining Walls and Landscaping, Saw Cutting, Milling, Excavation/Grading, Streets/Roads, Select Granular and Aggregate, New Developments, Ponds, Rain Gardens, Subdrain Draintile, Topsoiling, Paving Streets/Roads, City Mill and Overlays, and New Developments. We also have experience in Commercial Parking Lots and Driveways, Patching Trails, and various other services related to road construction and maintenance.

Recent Projects

Some of our recent projects include Street Reconstruction Projects Downtown Phase 1 - Waconia, Copper Marsh and Hidden Meadows - Maple Grove, Morningside C Neighborhood - Edina, Street Improvement Project - Glencoe, Pioneer Trail - Eden Prairie, 42nd Ave - New Hope, Citywide Mill and Overlay Projects Minnetrista, Medina, Montrose, Ramsey, Carver County, Commercial Parking Lots such as Westwood Community Church, Crystal Community Center, Navarre Park - Orono, Chaska 212 Medical Center, St Johns the Baptist - Excelsior, and Various Private Developments. We also completed several projects in previous years including Street Reconstructions, City Pavement Rehab, and Infrastructure Improvements.

Available Positions

We currently have an opening for a Full Time Estimator / Project Manager. The responsibilities include estimating and managing a variety of Highway Heavy Construction Projects, scheduling and tracking projects, managing field job superintendents, managing project pay applications, and attending weekly meetings. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in estimating and project management, with Highway Heavy Construction experience.
