History and Team

Marble Crafters was founded in 1982 by Robert Capoferri, who learned the art of working with natural stone from his stepfather, a marble mason. Over the past 40 years, Marble Crafters has grown from a humble one-man operation into a thriving business that works with the most celebrated high-end builders on the East Coast along with the region's premier architects and designers.

Our team is led by industry veterans with a deep understanding of the stone industry. Our leadership team includes Bob Capoferri, Founder; Kent Tyler, President/CEO; Dan Mauriello, Vice President of Operations; John Giungo, Vice President of Project Development; and Russ Dunlap, VP Project Management. Together, our team possesses over a century of experience in the stone industry, ensuring that every project we undertake is completed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
