At Hatheway Design, we understand that every project is unique, and as designers, we are problem solvers. Our team adheres to this framework to ensure that the collected wisdom of the client, designer, and installers is focused towards a successful outcome.

Our Aesthetic

As a designer, I am drawn to expressions of warmth and hospitality paired with simplicity of forms and textures. I strive to create spaces that are inviting for companionship and relaxing for solitude. The foundational process we have developed for designing spaces works well across all styles of interiors and exteriors. We believe that the design of a space should be a reflection of its purpose and the people who use it. At Hatheway Design, we aim to create sanctuaries that are both functional and beautiful.

Local and Regional Sourcing

In keeping with our fondness for the history, materials, and craftspeople of Southern California, we have a keen interest in incorporating elements from this region in our designs. We believe that the unique character of this region can be incorporated into our designs to create spaces that are truly unique and reflective of the area.

Our Story

I, Jason Hatheway, founded Hatheway Design in 2004. Prior to starting the company, I worked in various architecture, interior design, and landscaping companies, trying to find the field that suited me best. After 25 years in the industry, I have come to realize that I will never be able to pick just one and that I am equally happy being creative in the office and getting my hands dirty in the field. I am honored to have built long-term relationships with fantastic clients who trust me to create amazing environments. When I'm not working, you can find me coaching my son's baseball team or helping him indulge in his passion for Godzilla monsters.
